Amyloid-β immunization for Alzheimer’s disease demonstrates sustained neuropathological effects


  • A post-mortem examination of subjects who underwent immunization against amyloid-β for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease showed sustained plaque removal for up to 14 years. Despite modification of amyloid disease, most patients had progressed to severe dementia.
