“Bring your own device”: use of patients’ mobile devices for PROs shows promise

Using neurology patients’ own mobile devices such as phone and tablets for collecting patient-reported outcome (PRO) data shows great promise and is likely to improve reliability, according to a specialist.

In a presentation at ECTRIMS 2018, Professor Tjalf Ziemssen of the Center of Clinical Neuroscience at the Carl Gustav Carus University Clinic (Dresden, Germany) discussed the ongoing shift from paper-based to electronic PRO (ePRO) data collection.
