Deciphering the microangiopathy of mixed location intracerebral hemorrhages

  • Mixed intracerebral hemorrhages (ICH) have lower amyloid load and are similar to hypertensive (HTN) ICH in an Asian population.

Why this matters ?

  • Direct evidence supporting mixed ICH as more similar to HTN-ICH than to cerebral amyloid angiopathy-related (CAA) ICH will allow better stroke risk stratification and treatment.
