Enhanced functional connectivity in people with juvenile myoclonic epilepsy


  • Incorporation of a 2-minute sliding window into functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) analyses allowed a deeper characterisation of static and dynamic functional activity in patients with juvenile myoclonic epilepsy (JME).

Why this matters

  • The 2-minute sliding approach could aid better understanding of brain functioning mechanisms in JME as well as increase the diagnostic information that can be obtained from resting-state fMRI measurements in this epilepsy type.
