Fewer false positives in myasthenia gravis diagnosis with improved autoantibody testing

  • There is increased diagnostic accuracy for people with myasthenia gravis (MG) when positive for both acetylcholine receptor binding (AChR-Bi) and acetylcholine receptor modulating (AChR-Mo) autoantibodies.

Why this matters ?

With improved accuracy of MG diagnosis, there could be a reduction in unnecessary CT imaging and fewer false positives.
