Imaging biomarkers for diagnosis and prognosis in prodromal dementia with Lewy bodies

  • In prodromal phase, electroencephalogram (EEG) recordings could differentiate groups with mild cognitive impairment who later developed either dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) or Alzheimer disease (AD), with some characteristics predictive of time to progression to DLB.

Why this matters ?

EEG has potential as a tool for diagnosis and prognosis in the prodromal phase of DLB.
