New insights into functional movement disorders in children and adolescents

Specialists have reported new insights into functional movement disorders (FMDs) in a pediatric population, highlighting the need for a multidisciplinary approach.

At the MDS 2021 virtual congress, Dr Valentina Baglioni from the Unit of Child Neurology and Psychiatry at the Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, presented preliminary findings from a retrospective study to better characterize FMDs in childhood and adolescence, including short-term outcomes.
