New study highlights link between sleep duration and dementia risk

The importance of persistent short sleep duration – less than 6 hours per day – as a risk factor for the development of dementia was highlighted at the AAIC 2021 conference.

Dr Séverine Sabia from INSERM in Paris, France, reported the findings of a new study examining the association of sleep duration at age 50, 60, and 70 years with incident dementia.
