Why this matters
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, telehealth was rapidly implemented in clinical practices worldwide. This is the first comprehensive quantitative and qualitative assessment of the current and future role of telehealth in ambulatory neurology. The findings suggest that while telehealth is valued by users, it could be improved by involving administrative staff, caregivers, social support, and optimizing strategies to facilitate virtual patient–physician communication.
