Residual symptoms predicting insomnia relapse

  • Study identified residual symptoms predicting relapse within 4 years of natural remission of insomnia: impairments of cognition, poor quality of sleep, disturbed mood, being female, difficulty maintaining sleep and fatigue.

Why this matters

  • Insomnia has high rates of relapse, the residual symptoms identified to be linked to relapse should be monitored to minimize relapse and identify refractory phenotype.
