Right temporal glioma is associated with altered structural connectivity and cognitive dysfunction

  • People with glioma showed altered structural connectivity through the right uncinate fasciculus and cognitive dysfunction compared with healthy controls.

Why this matters

Clinical decisions, e.g. regarding glioma prognosis and resection, may be informed by this evidence that fibers in the right hemisphere appear more susceptible to pathophysiological changes to cognition caused by invasive tumors in the right temporal lobe.
