Test-retest reproducibility in MRICloud for multiple MRI modalities

  • The test-retest reproducibility of MRICloud was high for T1-volumentric analysis, high for diffusion tensor imaging (DTI), and low for resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), which supports use of this program in interpretation of structure-based MRI studies.

Why this matters

  • There has been an increase in the use of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in large populations, and these large datasets of images must be automatically segmented for regions of interest for analysis.

  • MRICloud is a tool that automatically segments and quantifies multiple MRI modalities in a biologically meaningful and comprehensive way, which may lead to improvement in clinical trials.

  • While MRICloud has been extensively tested for reliability and accuracy, reproducibility of whole brain structural analysis for different modalities has not previously been studied and may affect interpretations of results.
