Treating sleep apnea and insomnia together to improve clinical outcomes

  • The combination of cognitive-behavior therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) and positive airway pressure (PAP) is superior to PAP alone in treating insomnia in people with Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) and comorbid insomnia.

Why this matters

OSA and insomnia are common comorbid conditions, however, there is little evidence about the effect of a concomitant treatment approach.
