What role for blood-based algorithms in clinical practice?

The rapid advances being made in research into blood-based biomarkers, including their use in diagnostic algorithms, are set to revolutionize diagnosis in clinical practice, according to Professor Oskar Hansson at AAIC 2021.

Prof. Hansson, professor of neurology at the Clinical Memory Research Unit and Faculty of Medicine at Lund University, Sweden, presented an overview of findings emerging from the use of blood-based biomarkers such as p-tau181 and p-tau217.
